Welcome to Digital Storytelling!
Do not be deceived: digital storytelling is not constrained to the humanities! Every content area can benefit from the ability digital storytelling has to engage and challenge students while addressing state standards. Digital storytelling provides a 21st century way to share stories, teach concepts, and learn authentically. This presentation will explore how both teachers and students can create digital stories using images, text, video, audio narration, animation, and music. Presenters will highlight some of the benefits, challenges, and pitfalls of digital storytelling as well as tips for assessing and evaluating student products. Be ready for a multimedia presentation full of techniques to bring into the classroom!
